School’s out for summer! The kids are excited, and the moms are trying to figure out how to keep everyone happy and entertained all summer long.
It gets HOT in Tennessee during the summer. As I am planning my week with my children, I always try to incorporate a fun water day. It helps my kids cool off and it gives them something fun to look forward to because who doesn’t love a good splash pad or water slide?!
I picked a few of our favorite water play spots around the Hendersonville area that we will enjoy this summer. I hope it is helpful to you and that your family will be able to enjoy some summer fun too!
The Streets of Indian Lake are right across the street from our store. It’s a cute place to hang out and the splash pad is a fun centerpiece perfect for small children. Be sure to visit the splash pad on a Saturday morning this summer during their farmers market to enjoy local produce, meats and goods (and don’t forget about the peaches from the Peach Truck 🍑😍).
The Cumberland Park Sprayground is located along Nashville’s riverfront between the Shelby Street Pedestrian Bridge and the Korean War Veterans Memorial Bridge. There are also other unique play areas surrounding the sprayground. And if you are looking for a treat after a long day of playing, walk across the Shelby Street Pedestrian Bridge and get an ice cream cone 🍦at GooGoo Clusters.
The Tommy Garrott Aquatics Facility is located at the Gallatin Civic Center. The cost is $7/ person (2 and under are free) or you can purchase a punch card with 20 punches for $100. They have 3 waterslides, a splash pad, spray toys, a water tower and lots more. There are two concession areas for when you need to fuel up. They also offer private party rental and party area rental. Don’t forget to bring lots of sunscreen because you will want to stay all day. ☀️🌊
Make sure to check out these fun spots this summer. Most are opening this weekend (Memorial Day). And if your child needs a cute swimsuit, be sure to come see us!
